My Sister is a Mrs!

It took me a few days to recover from this wedding, so I apologize for not getting these up sooner. WHAT A WEEKEND! I still can't get over how perfect everything was during our trip. We arrived Wednesday morning after a VERY early flight. I can't tell you how wonderful it felt to walk out to the W's pool and see the bright blue ocean with a warm sun shining down on me! I missed it oh so much.
Friday was filled with more pool time, rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner at YOLO, a.k.a. You Only Live Once. Delicious food, drinks and great music!


Friday was wedding day! Hair and make-up started at 9:30 am. I was done by 11:30 am. Lots of lounging going on in the bridal suite! By 4:30 or so we were ready to party. No ceremony pics since I was the MOH. ;) Lauren's photographer, Sara Kauss, was fantastic. I can't wait to see all of her pictures.

Not the best family picture, but I'm sure there is a better one out there! ha

It was a perfect wedding night and thankfully we had one more day to relax and more importantly, cover before heading home on Sunday. Thanks Lauren and James for the comfy and cool cabanas!

Five Friday Faves

I always look forward to Life as a California Wife's Five Friday Faves each week. They are always so cute and since I have time on this busy Friday, I think I will join in!

1. Celebratory Happy Hours
As you know, Dylan got a promotion and will start his new job the Monday after we get back from Florida. His co-workers were nice enough to setup a farewell happy hour at a local bar and I will be meeting them all there later!

2. FLORIDA in 4 days!

I can't wait to wake up with a view like this for 5 days! Oh, and to celebrate my sister's wedding. :)

3. Saying Goodbye
Not only are we packing for Florida, but we are also starting to pack for the move in two weeks. It's a little sad to say goodbye to our first place even though we are only moving about 10 minutes from our current address. I took this photo when we moved in and it hangs on the wall in our kitchen. I plan to take another photo of something around our next place in hopes of adding to the collection. It will be a nice conversation piece, don't ya think?

4. Sunny weather and good beer.
Unfortunately, the sunny weather is sparse, but a good beer is always available. I love Blue Moon and a few weeks ago I picked up their Spring Blonde Wheat Ale. It was delicious! Unfortunately, their website says it's only available from January-April. I'm hoping Party Source might have a few 6 packs leftover that I can pick up this weekend. If not, I guess I will just have to try one from their summer collection... Summer Honey Wheat! I'll let ya know how it goes.

5. Mother's Day
Since I will see my mom on Wednesday (in FLORIDA) I decided to save on gas and stay in Cincinnati this weekend. I'm sad I won't get to celebrate with her on Mother's Day, but I get to spend 4 days with her next week! Sounds so much better to me. :) Love you, Mom!!!

Big Plans for May!

May is going to PACKED full of fun this year! If you haven't already heard Dylan got a promotion!!!!!! He is now the newest Field Representative in the sales department at Cincinnati Financial. We celebrated with pizza on Wednesday (to spend time with Walt, of course) and then headed to Teak last night for some sushi and Thai. It was delicious! Dylan will start his new job on May 16th.

This weekend was my first at home in Cincinnati since the beginning of April. It was nice to finally catch on a few things around the house. We also checked off everything on our shopping list for the wedding! Even got a new digital camera for the trip! Hopefully this will increase the number of photos and videos I can share with you.

Speaking of the wedding, we leave in a week and 2 days! I can only imagine how slow this week will go between work on Monday and Thursday night, plus our first volleyball game on Wednesday. If I can get to happy hour on Friday everything will be ok! I cannot wait to celebrate with these two!

After the wedding our busy schedules continue! We start moving into our new (leased) house the Tuesday after we get back. We will use the week to start moving some of the little stuff and the weekend to move the big stuff! Can't wait to see how Walter likes the new house and fenced yard! It will be a long weekend, but we are looking forward to it.

We will end the month like always, at Grandview Lake. Here's hoping it is sunny and warm Memorial Day weekend!!
