April Flowers!

April 2nd already... WOW! We had a fabulous March and the next three months are only going to get better! We closed out the week of March with lots of fun activities. Adcap Network Systems had their grand opening event on Thursday afternoon. We even had the Mayor of Alpharetta there to help us cut the ribbon.

After the open house we closed up shop and went out for a night of fun. Our president opened up a tab and rented out the Whirlyball Atlanta court for 2 hours. Imagine bumper cars and lacrosse in one! I was a little nervous at first, but now I'm hooked. I talked about it all weekend long with Dylan and our friends. Can't wait to play again soon!
Willyball.
Sooo much fun!

It rained for the first time in a long time on Friday night. My allergies usually hit in May, but Mother Nature has been brutal this year. I was told that the pollen was terrible in Atlanta every year, but it broke records this year. They aren't the best pictures, but you get the idea. BRING MORE RAIN!!!

Pollen in the parking lot at my office and my windshield at the end of the day.
These pictures don't even do it justice!
Last weekend I had the place to myself. Dylan was in Chicago for his bachelor weekend. I think they had a great time, but I also had a little fun myself. We had a couple birthdays to celebrate (You too Dad!) so I joined our friends for a night on the town. We hit up a great bar called Hand in Hand in Virginia Highlands. Love this place!

I'm sure I will have LOTS of pictures throughout April. We have a very busy schedule. First up is a trip to Gatlinburg to meet up with our Cincinnati friends, Jessica and Colin. We are very excited to catch up, relax and let the pups play!

Also, this just in!!! Our wedding invites arrived in the mail today! They look GREAT and I can't wait to send them out. Keep your eye on the mailbox. Only 89 days!!!!!

Etsy Love

Pinterest is all the rage, but yesterday I feel in love with these pretty little things on Etsy.com. I think they are the perfect way for us to remember where we are and where we've been in our life together. That means I need...
"As sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines."

"What's round on the ends and 'hi' in the  middle?"

"Racing wheels and rolling fields."
Simple and fun! What do you think?

St. Patrick's Day

Hello All!!! Happy post St. Patty's Day. We have a fun-filled weekend here in Atlanta. Knowing it would be a crazy weekend at the bars we decided to do a house bar crawl with all our friends in the neighborhood! As many of you know, we've met a lot of people at the local dog park. We put together a schedule for the day and it worked out perfectly! We start the party at 1:00 and bounced around to 5 different places.

First stop included green begals, Irish Coffees and a nice little rooftop view of the city. Please ignore The Gold Club sign, power lines, etc.

Second stop was our place where we served Texas Cavier (Thanks to Ms. Kelsi), Guinness and Irish Car Bombs. We even let the dog join in on the fun. Meet two of Walter's new best friends. They also weigh about 90 lbs less than Walter.

Car Bombs!

Jeter was the only one who would pose for a picture.

We added jello shots at the third stop and Poor Man's Irish Drink at the fourth stop. We lost a few stragglers after the fourth stop, but Dylan and I pressed on to our last stop. They had buffalo chicken dip.... HA!

We had a bit of a dance party!
We headed home at midnight and surprisingly felt pretty good today! Laying by the pool for a couples sure did help too. :)  I would say we've found some good friends here in Atlanta and these good times are bound to continue!

Hope you had a great weekend.

Wall Art and V-Day Specialty

One day I will have a house with a hallway, stairwell or wall of photos and art. I have a mini version in our apartment right now and last weekend I added a new piece. (Sorry the pics aren't great. I took them with my iPhone.) Thanks Young House Love for the idea!

 Cincinnati Key

This Valentine's day fixed a lovely little dinner for two. I bought some massive artichoke's from Kroger as a special treat. I've never made them before, but thanks to YouTube I was a pro in no time. I took the easy way out by simply boiling them in a large pot. Paired with a dipping sauce it was pretty damn good! Next time we plan to step it up a bit. If you know any good baked artichoke recipes, let me know!

Hope your Valentine's day was full of love!

Goodbye January

I don't know about you, but January flew by fast! I can't say I'm that upset about it though because we have no big plans until April. Anyway... here's what we've been up to this month.

1. Wedding Plans: Things are coming together for June 30th! I skyped with my DJ and Photographer this month to go over plans for the big day. I've not met either of them, so it was nice to chat face-to-face on the computer. I am so very excited about my photographer, Molly Connor. She's going to come out for the rehearsal dinner and spend the whole day with us on Saturday. It's so nice to know that she and her assistant are going to be able to be able to catch every moment of the day for us.

The theme of the wedding is also coming together. Here's some inspiration I found that might make an appearance on our big day!

February's wedding to-do's include settling on a bridesmaid dress, buying the boy's suits and finalizing wedding invitations.

2. Ft. Lauderdale Vacation: Over MLK weekend I met up with my favorite sister and cousins in Florida. We met in Orlando and took "Hair-Force One" up to Ft. Lauderdale. It was a perfect little vaca and as always, we had an amazing time! I even got a little sun.

Drinks at the W! Lots of memories there.

Kath and Nancy took time away from Crazy Camp to visit.
Kate and Lo on the beach.
Best sister ever!!!
 3. Save-The-Dates: Looks like almost everyone got their Save-The-Dates in the mail this month. We have a total of 5 on our refrigerator (including ours) and we are still waiting on one more. Just one more reason we are saving our honeymoon for 2013. It's going to be a hectic summer of travel.

 4. I took Walt on a walk yesterday and noticed that the flowers are blooming again here in ATL. We've had 50+ degree weather almost the whole month. I would love to take that as a sign that winter (if you can call it that) is almost over here. Fingers crossed!Time to start stocking my summer wardrobe!

5. Atlanta doesn't quite feel like home yet, but we sure are close. We've met some great friends in the area... also dog owners. As much as my mother doesn't want to hear it, we will probably be here for a few years so we are starting to think about buying a place. We love our apartment and it's location, but I'm starting to feel cramped in our tiny one bedroom. Not to mention we are registering for all these wonderful things and we will have no where to put them!! Dylan's company will help us through the process and I will be sure to keep you all updated.

I think that about wraps up our month. Nothing too crazy but we enjoyed it. Mimi and Buppa are coming for one night in February on their way to Florida. That's the only family I will see until April. Makes me sad, but I know it will fly by!

XOXO,
T
