What New Year's Resolution?!?!?

2009 was a great year! I have a lot of great memories, but I am so excited for 2010. I wanted to share a few pics from Christmas and New Years before moving on to 2010.

Enjoying our party crackers! (Top Row, From Left: Katie, Me, Christopher and Abby. Bottom Row, From Left: Landon, Emma and Lauren)

Drinks with some Cincinnati friends at Bone Fish Grill before watching the ball drop at a house party. We were so glad we came back for New Years. We missed some great parties in Indy, but had a great time at home.

Dylan and I at Molly Johnson (now Phillips) wedding in Youngstown, OH. They swam together at Denison.

All in all it was another successful Christmas!! Now on to 2010.

I'm not one for New Year's resolutions. I didn't even think about it until Dylan asked me on New Year's Eve. After chatting, this is what I came up with.

1. Its been a loooong time since I've seen a gym. Unfortunately, my work schedule is not always convenient. I would love to find a reasonably priced gym on both the east and west side of Cincinnati. I have a couple of places I would like to visit this weekend. It is about time I get in shape!

2. SAVE! Since moving in September my biggest purchase has been a new TV for our bedroom, but with decor, birthdays and Christmas I feel like I've spent more than I should. Dylan and I would like to take at least one trip this year. My good friend Peyton (Life as a California Wife) moved out to SoCal last summer. We are hoping to take a trip out there in March or April. Skiing is also high on our list of vacations, but costly. My best friends from Purdue tried to come up with a time when we could all vacation together, but as hard as we try our schedules never match. Thank goodness for weddings! Molly is getting married in Chicago on June 11 and Katie is getting married in July!
At this point, I just want to be on a beach! Don't you?

3. Find a place to volunteer. I feel like I somewhat have this covered through Girl Scouts, but Dylan and I would like to get into something together. I suggested a humane society. We are dying for a dog, so this might be a nice substitute until we move somewhere more suitable.
Any suggestions in the Cincinnati area?

I will keep you posted on my progress! ;)

xoxo

  1. Love the pics and resolutions, particularly the one about coming to visit me!!!!

I think the volunteering thing sounds like a great idea! I would love to volunteer at the Humane Society, but fear I would end up with at least 50 adorable muts.
